Those who die alone

This is an illustration I made for the Guardian for an article titled “Who were his pals, where did he go?’: solving the mysteries of those who die alone”  by Mary Paulson-Ellis. The full article can be read here.

It is a portrait of the officials in Scotland that search for next of kin of people who die alone in nursing homes, hospitals or at their homes.
