I spent the summer of 2011 in Dresden, returning there after having lived in Finland for almost four years. I was invited to have an exhibition at a clothing store that friends of mine run there called THE SPOT. The opening was held on 10th of June, 2011 and the show ran for two or three months.
I decided to create all the artwork from scratch just for the occasion. There is a bit of a mixed bag of themes: animals, anatomy, clowns, … everything that I was interested in at that moment.
The images were drawn in Adobe Illustrator and textures were added with Photoshop. By this time I discovered the “Recolor Artwork” function in Illustrator, which accounts for the wilder colors of the image “Diederich” and “Onksullakahtaeuroa” (the first two in the last row below).
FineArt-Factory in Leipzig made a limited series of great quality prints of these for me.
